Computer Lab Layout and Technology
As seen below, currently, the pupils use desktop computers with CPUs. The outdated equipment slows down the students' ability to finish their assignments. It also restricts the number of students who can register in the many computer studies programs the school offers. Modernizing computer laboratories is one of my goals for implementing a digital strategy. This includes changing the design of the labs so that it makes the best use of the available space.
The modernization of the computer lab is a great idea and a necessary move in the age of technology that we live in.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is necessary to modernize the computer lab in your school because technology is ever changing at a rapid pace and our Barbadian students need to be aware of what is relatively new so that they know how to function and perform at the highest level possible on par with other regional and international students. I think that the infrastructure of our schools in general in Barbados need to be examined more and adaptations done so that the information or knowledge teachers are gaining from the various technological courses, workshops or online training, can be effectively seen as they interact with their students in the correct learning environment.
ReplyDeleteI agree that students need updated labs with modern equipment to really get the best on-hand experience. This should not only include new computers but also computerized whiteboards, access to cloud computing, and overhead projectors. Most of these things are affordable today. -- Julian
