RECOMMENDED POLICY

I would advise focusing on trying to improve internet access throughout The Lodge School given the present situation. The Caribbean Examinations Council's requirements for better examination testing circumstances would be met, and teachers would be able to use the internet more effectively to reinforce lessons being taught by using several appropriate sites.

A good Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for the school would help users understand the significance of adhering to what is considered to be acceptable behaviour and actions while using the internet, address issues of cyberbullying and cybersecurity, the expectations for allowance for non-employee users, which can also address the notion of bringing your device which will enable students to use their devices, in light of the emphasis being placed on improving the internet.

A digital strategy is crucial to the success of the school to produce pupils who are capable of thriving in the twenty-first century. I would allow all students to utilize technology to their advantage. After analyzing the current situation, improvements would be focused on to get the school to a point where teaching, learning, and assessment are made much easier with the supporting tools, ensuring online safety, and technical support, as well as taking into consideration areas, particularly emerging technologies, where more research is needed.

Any institution should always perform a SWOT analysis. The measures that can be taken to implement one at The Lodge School to advance with the right digital strategy are outlined in the details that follow.
